The Okhotsk microplate is a proposed minor tectonic plate covering the Kamchatka Peninsula, Magadan Oblast, and Sakhalin Island of Russia; Hokkaido, KantÅ and TÅhoku regions of Japan; the Sea of Okhotsk, as well as the disputed Kuril Islands.
