Alhamdulillah (Arabic: ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّٰهِ, al-Ḥamdu lillāh) is an Arabic phrase meaning “praise be to God”, sometimes translated as “thank God”. This phrase is called Tahmid (Arabic: تَحْمِيد, lit. ‘Praising’).
