- Brandstedt Slough runs along the northwest side of Erickson Island, connecting Steamboat Slough in the north with Boom Slough in the south. The slough separates Erickson Island from Fir Island. The entire slough is located in the Skagit Bay Estuary Wildlife Area Unit, which also covers Erickson Island and much of the Skagit River Delta.
