- Morton Gneiss is a metamorphic rock from Morton, Minnesota, that is estimated to be 3.5 to 3.6 billion years old. You can see the rock as exterior cladding on the Exchange Building in downtown Seattle. You can easily see and touch the rock from the sidewalk along the building.
