South Nemah Natural Resources Conservation Area (dnr.wa.gov) This area is highly regarded as one of the last small uncut drainages in the Willapa Hills. Comprising 2,440 acres, it contains patches of 300-year old western red cedar and Sitka spruce and habitat for marbled murrelets and northern spotted owls. The South and Middle Nemah Rivers support fish and amphibian populations.
