I started this page after completing a page for Detroit that covered the majority of bridges and overpasses found in the metro area. This is an introduction to the many varieties of railroad bridges that exist, and some that are no longer with us. For further reading, check out some of the links I have come across.
- Queen Elizabeth Islands (Wikivoyage)
The Queen Elizabeth Islands in Nunavut comprise the northernmost populated region in Canada. They include Ellesmere Island which is the world’s tenth largest island. There is one small community (Grise Fiord) on Ellesmere Island, which is reachable by air and seasonally by sea, while a far northern military base (CFB Alert) and weather station (Eureka) are reachable by air only. South of Grise Fiord is Resolute, a small community on Cornwallis Island.
