Orono (/ˈɔːrəˌnoʊ/ OR-ə-noh, /ˈɔːrnoʊ/ OR-noh) is a city in Hennepin County, Minnesota, United States. It is a suburb of Minneapolis about 16 miles (26 km) west of Lake Minnetonka’s north shore. The population was 8,315 at the 2020 census.
