- Rho Cassiopeiae is a yellow hypergiant star in the constellation Cassiopeia. Its name is a Bayer designation, pronounced /ˌroʊ kæsiəˈpiːaɪ, -sioʊ-, -iː/. This star is about 8,000 light-years (2,500 pc) distant, yet can still be seen by the naked eye as it is over 300,000 times brighter than the Sun. On average it has an absolute magnitude of −9.5, making it one of the most luminous stars known in visual wavelengths. Its diameter varies between about 300 and 800 times that of the Sun, or 1.4 to 3.7 times the size of Earth’s orbit.

The Iron Age is the final epoch of the three historical Metal Ages, after the Copper and Bronze Ages. It has also been considered as the final Age of the three-age division starting with prehistory (before recorded history) and progressing to protohistory (before written history). In this usage, it is preceded by the Stone Age (subdivided into the Paleolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic) and Bronze Age. These concepts originated in describing Iron Age Europe and the Ancient Near East, but they now include other parts of the Old World.
