- St. Helens is a city in and the county seat of Columbia County, Oregon. It was founded by Captain Henry Montgomery Knighton, a native of New England, in 1845, as “Plymouth”. The name was changed to St. Helens in the latter part of 1850 for its view of Mount St. Helens, roughly 39 miles (63 km) away in Washington. The city is about 28 miles (45 km) northwest of Portland. As of the 2020 census, St. Helens had a population of 13,817.

Alki Point (/ˈælkaɪ/, Lushootseed: sbaqʷabqs, lit. ‘prairie point’) is a neighborhood in western Seattle, Washington. It is a point jutting into Puget Sound, the westernmost landform in the city’s West Seattle district. Alki is the peninsular neighborhood on Alki Point. Alki was the original settlement in what was to become the city of Seattle. It was part of the city of West Seattle from 1902 until that city’s annexation by Seattle in 1907.
