Addressed to a young church in the Lycus valley of Asia Minor, Colossians is an epistle of the Greek New Testament traditionally attributed to the apostle Paul. Written in Koine Greek in the first century AD, it exalts Christ as the image of the invisible God in whom all things were created, and warns the congregation against teachings built on human philosophy and ascetic regulations.
