A cobble bed of rocks deposited by the Skykomish River. This part of the river has smaller rocks whereas downstream the rocks are consistently larger and more boulders can be found.

On 21 January 1924, Lenin fell into a coma and died later that day at age 53. His official cause of death was recorded as an incurable disease of the blood vessels.
