A cobble bed of rocks deposited by the Skykomish River. This part of the river has smaller rocks whereas downstream the rocks are consistently larger and more boulders can be found.
In 1996, a 32-year-old man knocked out a window in the 30th floor of the IDS Center and jumped to his death.
