- 1 Thessalonians in Greek (ancientlibrary.net)
Often regarded as the earliest surviving Christian document, 1 Thessalonians is a letter of the Greek New Testament written by the apostle Paul around the middle of the first century AD. In warm, pastoral Koine Greek it thanks the new congregation at Thessalonica for its faith under persecution and answers anxious questions about believers who have died before Christ’s return.
“Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.

- First Epistle to the Thessalonians (Wikipedia)
The First Epistle to the Thessalonians is a Pauline epistle of the New Testament of the Christian Bible. The epistle is attributed to Paul the Apostle, and is addressed to the church in Thessalonica, in modern-day Greece. It is likely among the first of Paul’s letters, probably written by the end of AD 52, in the reign of Claudius although some scholars believe the Epistle to the Galatians may have been written by AD 48.
