- The Old River connects Deepwater Slough with Boom Slough in the Skagit River Delta. It is both adjacent to and within the Skagit Bay Estuary Wildlife Area Unit on Fir Island. As with most of the sloughs in the delta, a boat is required for access.
The basic tenet of black consciousness is that the black man must reject all value systems that seek to make him a foreigner in the country of his birth and reduce his basic human dignity.
