Puyallup (/pjuːˈæləp/ ⓘ pew-AL-əp; Lushootseed: st̕iləqʷac lit. “strawberry plant”) is a city in Pierce County, Washington, United States. It is on the Puyallup River about 10 miles (16 km) southeast of Tacoma and 35 miles (56 km) south of Seattle. The city had a population of 42,973 at the 2020 census.
