From the trailhead, the Bullitt Fireplace Trail heads steadily uphill. Along the way you will pass signed junctions with several other trails. Stay on the Bullitt Fireplace Trail and it will take you to the cabin site.

From the trailhead, hop on the trail signed for Central Peak. The most direct route to the summit is to follow the signage for the Central Peak trail, a 3.3-mile distance.
- South Access Road (wta.org)
Ascend Squak Mountain via the most direct route available, the South Access Road, which still permits you to experience preserved mountain rainforest, wildflowers, mushrooms, and fauna, enjoying occasional glimpses of the surrounding mountains and lowlands. If desired, take a side excursion along one of the connector trails on Squak’s southern flank for a more intense nature experience.
