Picnic Point Park doesn’t have any established trails per se, but the scenery here is delightful, and at low tide, it is possible to hike 1.5 miles to Meadowdale Beach, or 5 miles north to Point Elliot at Mukilteo, depending on how fast you hike.
The K–Pg extinction event, brought on by an asteroid impact (Chicxulub impact) and possibly volcanism (Deccan Traps), marked the beginning of the Paleocene and killed off 75% of species, most famously the non-avian dinosaurs.
